He Reigns

On Sunday, January 10 myself and a few other BUgirl interns, attended a unity church service at the MTS Center in downtown Winnipeg called “One Heart.” I was at a similar unity service in Abbotsford, BC this past spring, so I knew that I could anticipate great things and all of God’s children go together to worship!
The moment we walked into the building we were on the lookout for a place to sit. Our group of 5 had to split up as 3 and 2 because the facility was so full. In fact, we learned that the expected attendance of 6000 was surpassed and close to 8000 attended the event!
As the service began the song “He Reigns” by the Newsboys rang out loudly through the arena. Down the center of the aisles walked people from every nation, tribe and tongue, proudly dressed in their country’s attire and displaying their flag. It was such a moving moment – almost like a glimpse of Heaven. It reminded me that one day Christians of all race and language will join together to worship their Saviour! I am excited for that day! Amen!
After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. – Revelation 7:9
