The Week Before Christmas
Monday, 14 December 2009 23:00

Twas the week before Christmas and all through BUG house
There was chitter and chatter, too loud for a mouse
The advents were placed in the rooms with great care
Expecting the chocolate that daily was there
Some interns were dancing all dressed in red,
While knowing their team mates slept soundly in bed.
The leaders in sweaters, computers on lap
Were getting excited for their own room to nap
When from the kitchen there came such a clatter
We all ran toward to discover the matter
Thumping down staircases and leaping through halls
We turned round the corner and were quite appalled
The new bulb in the kitchen gave light to this scene
(As we no longer needed the lamps for the sink)
And so to our beautiful unique eyes should appear
Some A.L.D.O’s wearing the most atrocious gear
They were dressed in these sweaters, if they could be called even that
They were hideous, and Christmas-y, they suited a rat
“What is this conundrum?” we exclaimed at the sight
All other words were lost from the fright
They spoke not a word, but went right to work
And whipped up some food, then turned with a jerk,
“It’s for a party,” they finally explained.
“We’re inviting our friends,” Julie proudly proclaimed.
“The theme is the sweater, as ugly can be
Whether Christmas or old or just plain grubby.
So come one and all to the house we call BUG
And in your ugliest sweater, we all will hug!”
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
